One thing you don’t want to do is have your website show up when it’s not ready for it. Once people see that for the first time, they won’t come back to it in the future. They’ll just assume that you’re not ready to give them what they need.

Footer Links Fail

Each page of your site should have no more then about 50 links on it. This is an example of some excessive linking in the footer of the site. It’s certainly not very user-friendly.

Internal Linking Fail

I love a good flashlight, which is why I came across this page. Just for the record, the stinger flashlight shown in this image is not the best flashlight out there in my opinion. Anyway, it is definitely a good thing to have a solid internal linking structure throughout your site. This is an example of way too many internal links.
